Lately we’ve experienced intermittent symptoms with the on board tuner shield grounds which requires the removal of a shield and shield liner. The shield liner is soldered in with special solder that requires a higher temperature (700 to 800 degrees) to melt the solder that holds the shield liner in place. The additional heat can sometimes melt this alloyed zinc shield an prevent it from being successfully re-used.
 
 

If this inner shield becomes damaged it should be replaced.

 

Part number is 237632 and the cost of this is $1.85.
