The cushion will fill the gap to provide insulation between the FPC cables and rear panel..

Samsung HLP5063 DLP Color Wheel After the color wheel was replaced the color was badly effected and looks like it was a negative picture. The new color wheel is  different from the original. The original used an Air Bearing type  motor. But the replacement type is a standard bushing type motor. There is a jumper on the rear of the DMD board that may or may not be covered with a paper sticker. Reposition the jumper to accommodate the new color wheel.
Samsung HCN4226 P55 Dead Tech found the power supply dead. After installing a new power supply, the unit was still dead. Tech disconnected the 200 volt line, the convergence amp power, disconnected all tubes, and removed the HV lead from the splitter assembly, the unit still would not come up. Solution: Remove the red screen wire from the deflection board, located behind the flyback toward the back cover side. The power supply would then turn on.  Tech checked location of the dual set of transistors called Q371 located on the red CRT board. This dual transistor set was shorted. It is used for the  driver used for Dynamic Focus. Part # 0502-000442     Thanks to Rick kinser
Samsung TXN3275 K55 dead Unit does not turn on. No stand by voltages from main power supply. RAW B+ OK at C803 = 157vdc. IC801(1) was the same. Further checking around IC801(3) we found no voltage. In fact a resistance check to hot ground found 6 ohms resistance. This pin is the VCC input and the input for the start up of this power supply. It was discovered that  DZ807 was shorted. This device is a 30 volt zenor. After replacing the diode the chassis resumed normal operation.
Samsung HLN507W DLP Dead set Color wheel was replaced due to a squealing condition. After replacement the TV did not function. Caution
The color wheel flat cable for the motor drive is single sided connector into the DMD module. If put in backwards, no motor=dead set. Oops. Also the cable from the DMD to lamp driver was wiggled slightly to facilitate reinstall of color wheel cover. Loose connector=dead set. No lamp drive. Reseated the connector, all ok again.
Samsung HLP5063 DLP DMD module After the DMD module was replaced the color was badly effected and looks like it was a negative picture. The new DMD module uses a jumper that allows it to be used with two different styles of color wheels.  An Air Bearing type motor and a standard bushing type motor. This jumper is on the rear of the DMD board that may or may not be covered with a paper sticker. Reposition the jumper to accommodate the current color wheel.
Samsung HLN507 DLP Humming Loud hum when the TV is turned on then shuts off. Lamp never turns on. The humming is coming from the area of the Color wheel mounted inside the light engine. Removal of the light engine and a small shroud from the top of the Light engine is the area where the color wheel lives. It appears that half of the color wheel has broken off and is causing an out of balance condition when this tiny motor starts to spin.

Samsung HLP4663 DLP Lip Sync I recently did a service call for a customer who has a HLP4663W Samsung DLP. Her complaint was the audio coming from the televisions speakers did not match timing of that coming from her Onkyo amplifier. She has Comcast cable using a Motorola 5100 series set top box. The Dolby Digital TOS-LINK output from the box is being feed to the Onkyo amp and then the analog outputs are going to the television.  While tuning an analog channel (2-99) the delay was quite noticeable. Next onto the digital channels (100 and above) the delay wasn't so severe but, while tuned to one of the HDTV channels (700 series) there was NO delay what's so ever. I tried the audio delay settings in the service menu but had no great affect on the issue. I then went to the CATV box setup menu (with box off press menu to access)
and changed the 4:3 override from 480I to 480P and walla no more delay on ANY of the channels! Thought I would pass this information on as it might come in handy for fellow technicians. Thanks to Don Pierson Portland, Ore.
Samsung TXN3275 K55 pincushion TV has intermittent and unstable horizontal pincushion distortion and a horizontal "squeezing" of the picture Tech needed to monitor the output of the Q404(D). With a oscilloscope the vertical parabolic wave was unstable in coincident with the picture. Further checking the B+ to IC401(8) found it to be varying from 10 to 7 volts. This was caused by a bad 12 volt regulator IC402. This is a 7812 regulator. Input voltage was steady 16 volts, but the output was too low. Replacing the device corrected the trouble.
Samsung TXN3275 K55 pincushion TV has sever horizontal overscan. Pin cushion adjustment in tech menu has no effect Monitoring the voltage condition on Q404(D) we found "0" volts. Checking the gate of the device was almost 11 volts. The 11 volts could be traced back to the output of IC401(1). Since this is an OP amp the device did not have the  even balance on it's input. IC401(3) was 3.1 volts but pin 2 was "0" volts. Problem was caused by an open diode D405 a 1N4148.  
Samsung TXN3245 K55 Raster bright Units history was the CRT was arcing in the neck CRT was replaced and the new symptom was bright screen with retrace lines then shutdown. When checking the presence of the 200 vdc source we found it was normal at connector CNC02(8) in the CRT socket. However the voltage was Zero on all 3 cathodes of the CRT. Resistance to ground at the cathode of the CRT was in the Meg ohms, but the resistance at IC501, IC502, IC503 (6) was 1 ohm. This was the 200 vdc input to the IC. Further checking found that L502 a 33 micro Henry choke was open and C525 (one of 6 connected to the same line) was shorted C525 is a .022 @ 400 vdc.

Samsung TXN1430 K15D Red missing TV has normal raster and sound but is missing all red content in the picture Using a 5.6K resistor connected to ground and touching the other end to the red cathode of the CRT we were able to light up the tube with plenty of RED. Measuring the RGB drives to the CRT driver board CN501(1,2, &3) we found that Pin 1 was near "0" volts with the other two measuring 3.2 volts. Checking IC201S(51) we found the same near "0" volts. Simple DC resistance on these three pins that were the RGB drives (51, 52, & 53) all measured the same 100K resistance. It was determined that IC201S was defective. Tech replaced the device and corrected the defect.
Samsung TXN3275 K55 Retrace Lines Unit will turn on, with sound but the raster is bright with retrace lines, then shut down. Discovered the Red blue and green CRT cathodes were 14 volts. Close inspection of the CRT driver board the tech found L502 burned open. Further checking each CRT cathode found that the red cathode was 1200 ohms to ground, basically lower than the other two. It was found that IC501 was shorted. IC501(12) measured 17 ohms to ground. Part # TDA6120Q
Samsung HLP5063 DLP Screen temperature Unit looks fine with high brightness scene but in dark areas the raster has the tendency to go green. Sort of like a conventional CRT Type television with improper cut-off adjustments. If we connect the video generator to the video input jack and produce a black field, we still have green bleeding through. Tech needs to get into the tech menu. With the TV off, press the mute, 1, 8, 2 Power. The TV should turn on in the service mode. Select the DDP1011 menu category then scroll down to the Index Delay. With the <left  >right Keys increase or decrease the value of the Index Delay, keeping note of the original value. You are looking for the green to drop down or null out. After the value has been changed and you now have a black screen, turn the TV power off at the TV. This will save the new Index Delay settings.
Samsung TXN2745 K55 Shutdown I've had an increased number of reports on this model television with an intermittent shutdown symptom. It is aggravated by pressing on the cabinet back or flexing the CBA. What we have seen are the legs of the horizontal output transistor (Q401) failing due to metal fatigue and breaking.
 
It might be tempting to simply solder this . But recommend replacement of Q401 because the fatigued legs can break again. The heat sink assembly (HC401) flexes easily so during transportation of the TV. This flexing will cause the connection to eventually break again . It is believed the problem was caused by too strong of crimping of the transistor leads during the assembly process. This weakened the legs of the device making it susceptible to metal fatigue. Samsung TXN3275 K55 Shutdown  Symptom, Push power button and You here the on signal through the speakers as You normally do on Samsung units, then the unit will click once then click again to off state.  No High Voltage or Audio present. Checked B+ to Horizontal Output Q402 and is normal while trying to come on then goes to about 90 volts.  H-drive momentarily present then goes off. Solution was an open circuit on the collector of Q402.  The Collector lead was severed at the bent lead of the device, just like a lot of the H8 Nap units.  The best choice is replace the transistor or place another piece of wire between the crack to repair the device's lead.
Samsung HLN467 DLP Squeal Picture ok but has noise coming from right side of set next to lamp.  Sound like electric motor with bad bearing only makes noise when lamp is on. Not coming from fan. It will run a couple minutes after lamp turn off.  No noise when lamp off. Set works fine other then this. Color wheel idoes have a bad bearing. Samsung TXN1634 K15 Tuning Unit will only receive snow. The channel number will change but unit will only display snow. Unit will operate in the auxiliary input mode but not in the tuner mode, All voltages at the tuner appear normal but the voltage measured at the B+ point of the tuners was only 3.2 volts.. Capacitor C101 was leaky. It was a 220mfd@16 volts.
